About Us

The Persian School is one of the key pillars of the Iranian Cultural Society of North Carolina. Since its inception in 1987, the dedicated faculty of the Persian School have educated children and adults with the most interactive and effective curriculum and class environments. With the new Aria Cultural Center, we can now customize our classrooms for the needs of the students. The ICSNC Persian School will be the only Persian School in the United States that will offer dedicated Montessori techniques to our youngest students and will be able to integrate those same Montessori techniques into the more traditional classes for our older children and teens.

Class Schedule

Culture is an integral part of the Persian School. as such we offer electives throughout the school year with the help of dedicated volunteers to supplement what they are learning in their language classes. These include the celebration of Mehregan, Yalda, Sadeh, Nowruz, etc. A deeper understanding of the Persian Culture will be demonstrated through art activities, music lessons, dance classes and performances.

Testimonials

What Parents are Saying

“Farsi school helps me keep my kids connected to my Iranian culture even though we live across the world.  We enjoy a great sense of community through Farsi School that is hard to find these days.

I am giving my children the opportunity to take pride in their Iranian heritage!”

Melodi Javid Whitley, MD, PhD

“While my initial goal for enrolling my kids in Persian School was to expose them to the language, we ended up gaining much more than that. They were also exposed to the beautiful culture, and I have made some life-long friends along the way as well.”

Kimia Steed, VP, Tax Policies and Research

“As a teacher myself, I know that language learners require an authentic community to learn how to speak fluently. Our children are so excited that they have an entire Persian school full of friends that share their traditions and culture, as well as their language. It builds their self-confidence and their sense of identity.”
